Lorraine Schaffer is the Director of the Centre for Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the Institute of Family Therapy (IFT).  Lorraine has been a practising family mediator since 1995, and before that was a social worker with adolescents and families.

Areas of expertise

The Centre for Mediation and Conflict Resolution at IFT offers mediation to separating and divorcing couples, a conflict resolution service for other kinds of family disputes and parenting courses for separated parents to help their children.

IFT runs a world renowned programme of workshops and conferences, and a graduate programme of courses in Conflict Resolution and Mediation Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London.
