What is Happening?

Monthly Personal Support Programme - £247/month

"We are getting divorced but I don’t understand what is happening to me. My lawyer is busy with the legal side but I don’t want to bother my lawyer/pay legal fees for non-legal support."

You may be attempting to reach agreement together through mediation or solicitors negotiating or be contemplating needing support in the collaborative legal process or going through the family courts - perhaps attending CAFCASS meetings - but worried that your emotional state will let you down in meetings.

What is Happening? is a program designed for people who need to know more about what is happening to them and can be for a month or longer depending on how fast life is changing. Clients may have engaged a lawyer for the legal side, or be reaching an agreement in mediation, but know they need non-legal support too. This programme will answer the hard-to-answer non-legal questions.

If this is your situation, you may be feeling on your own, broke or confused by the divorce process, or all three. Do you feel that your relationship or marriage breakdown is unfathomable and you have run out of friends to ask for help? Most people who are going through marriage breakdown want proper support - whether or not they are going to court - as early in the process as possible to help them engage with the legal side and later, with the divorce process. And they usually want to keep their friends.

Would you like to be better informed about family law and understand your choices? With greater knowledge and understanding of the divorce process, could you save time and money through divorce? If you understood your lawyer’s role and how to use them, could you see yourself taking control again - and see the light at the end of the tunnel? Wouldn't you like to know more about family law and what it takes for you to divorce?

What is Happening? is a programme which offers breakup or divorce help to people going through the breakup or divorce process at any stage and whether or not they are legally represented or going to court. We can help you to manage your emotions and your case - before, during and after divorce. By using our services, you save time and money in divorce.

What will happen if you don’t have this help? Your solicitor might be sympathetic but for how long can you afford to pay them in excess of £200 an hour (if you’re lucky, many people pay much more) to pour your heart out? By all means use them for legal advice, especially to know what the law will award you, or to negotiate for you or present your case in court, but do you really want to pay them (and can you afford to pay them) for the non-legal help?
